Great spot. Usually the bacon is killer delicious melt in your mouth. Unfortunately the bacon in the breakfast tacos was too chewy and tough last time. I really hope you haven't changed. Great service

Brunch was disappointing as eggs were quite overcooked. The flavor of burnt eggs and vegetables from the bottom of the skillet ruined what would could have been a good dish. Nice environment for an afternoon cup of tea or mimosa but I wouldn't order food here again.

Great neighborhood spot, super nice staff, great service and delicious food/drinks. We had the chicken and bulgogi flatbreads, very tasty! We will be back soon....

We visitted madcap three weeks ago, for a quick breakfast. My partner had hashed eggs and I went for eggs in pita. His dish was great, really tasty. However, there was obviously something wrong with the homemade pita I was served on that morning. It was completely raw! All I could taste was yeast and chewy unbaked dough. I straight away informed your waiter who was very apologetic. He said the chef will make another one. So few mins after I was given a new dish. It def looked golden brown unlike the first serving which was pale grey. However, the pita was again raw inside:( I didn’t tell him again, but I left my pita on the plate and only ate the egg. I was really disappointed, the last thing you want in your plate is rare dough. It was only $5 but still... it should not havave happened. Please improve your pita recipe. I really wanted to like your place!!!

Apathetic service and burnt food. Had to wait 45 minutes for lunch but got to see the one waiter having his lunch while two cooks had a cigarette out front.

Met a couple friends for dinner here last night. It was one of those rare occasions where I did not read any reviews or look at the menu online so I had no idea what to expect. The guacamole was ok. The dumplings were better. I ordered the duck fried rice and it was delicious. The shrub cocktail made an excellent pairing with the fried rice. Looking forward to my next meal there.

Nice place for lunch. Had soup de jour. Was delicious.

My new favorite brunch Cafe in the neighborhood. I had breakfast taco and I loved it. Great coffee and tea selections. Love the staff here as well.

Amazing new neighborhood brunch spot! The bacon and egg flatbread lived up to the hype. The flatbread is more of a roti than a traditional flatbread, and the bacon was thick cut, just the way I like it. Biscuits and gravy were solid as well, and prices were very reasonable.

Everything about this place is perfect.

Great and simple vegetation options with what looks like a good brunch menu. The prices are reasonable.

Horrible pancake. It was so burned we felt sick after that. Peaches were straight out of tin. The shrimp&grits was just okay. Not terrible but not good either. The male staff(skinny dark skin short hair) had mean attitude, we felt very uncomfortable. The female staff who took care of us after food came out was very nice. Gave 2 stars because of her, otherwise it’s a solid 1 star restaurant. We had high hopes because of the good reviews but it was a total disappointment. Food didn’t justify the staff’s attitude problem. Would not recommend.

Excellent service and the best flatbread I've ever tasted! I'm looking forward to checking out the rest of the menu.

Great burger and friendly team

This review is not for actually eating at the restaurant. Tried to go here on Mother’s Day - it was pouring rain and they told us the wait would be 20 minutes; we waited and then when they called us for our table they had put a low high chair next to a high top and thought that would work. So then we said it wouldn’t they just looked at us dumbstruck and said there were no other options. Also for Mother’s Day they opened later thean usual and their usual menu was the same just a few dollars more.

Good breakfast. I would skip the coffee here and go to East One before/after.

The flatbread is the deal. Ordered too much food because assumed it would be a lil guy. Pretty substantial on its own.The pancake lives up to the promise. No skimping on the blueberries, nice fluff, gratuitous topping.Staff was nice. Eggs were good. Sausage a miss. Bacon a hit.

It's been a few years since I lived in Brooklyn, so was completely lost in the sea of millions of ever changing restaurants. This place was recommended to me by a local and can't say enough good things about it. The food was wonder/fantastic and felt overall positive vibes from the atmosphere and staff. Places like this remind me why NYC is second to none when it comes to food - highly recommend.

Perfection in menu items - veggie nachos! - and a very gracious staff.

I wanted to love this place - cute, smallish interior and millennial friendly mint paint on the bar stools - but found it a little disappointing. Went for brunch and things started off promisingly with a delicious blueberry pancake - but both our entrees arrived room temperature (I ordered shrimp and grits) and had obviously been sitting around. The avocado toast was barely one slice of bread, served chopped up like nachos with a cold soft boiled egg slice on the side. $13 and my friend left hungry. Brunch is a magnet for mediocrity but I know this place can do better.

My favorite Brooklyn restaurant! The burger is is amazing and so are all the salads. The chef a woman and the server/host/busgal was so upbeat and nice. Now let me tell you about the burger, served on toast bread the big patty cooked medium topped with cheddar and carmalized onion is simple and decadent all at once. So juicy and the crunch of the toast so perfect. Umm I want one right now!

I want to love this place, I really really do. I've only ever tried their pastas - mac and cheese and a baked pasta with tomato sauce - yet they always seemed to be watery or runny. The atmosphere is great. It's bright. Maybe I just need to order other things other than pasta. given the prices, they're too high for relatively mediocre food.

Lovely, low-key cafe for a great meal day or night. Has quickly become my "go-to" place in the neighborhood for their solid yet unpretentious food and great staff. Highly recommended!!

Cute cafe, most of the food was really great but the baked eggs were over cooked. A lot of the dishes looked super good.

While walking back to my hotel, I stopped in to get out of the rain and have a drink. I am glad I did. The cafe has a great intimate setting and the owner, Heather made me feel very welcome. She even offered me an umbrella when it was time to leave. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I had already eaten so I didn't have any food, but I did look over the menu and was impressed with the choices. If I am ever back in Brooklyn, I will definitely stop in again.

Friendly neighborhood spot. It's cozy inside. We just stopped by for a snack and a glass of wine. They pour a very generous glass of wine for $11.00. We had the salad that's called vegetarian nachos which is basically thin sliced, raw vegetables with a very tasty dressing on them. They were beautifully presented with lots of color. The meatballs were fine. The sauce could have been richer and the meatballs could have been more tender and juicier. They were a bit dry.I saw the burger from across the room and it looked nice. This is a good place to come with your kids.

Eclectic menu that had me a bit confused as to what it wanted to be, but then I stopped trying to over analyze it. The food is really good and the space is great. Give it a try!

Amazing pancake (one of the best) but a joke of avocado toast. Bread slices that I'm pretty sure only made up one actual piece of toast and one cold egg cut into pieces. I'm all down for experimentation but that was not a brunch entree by any means. Cute, relaxed space but really disappointed by my entree.

Decided to try this place for dinner the other night; sat at the bar and ordered the jumbalaya special - it was fantastic. Good wine selection at night, and I've enjoyed the coffee and weekday breakfast as well. Cute place - definitely give it a try!
